摘要: A method and apparatus for utilizing voice channel transceivers as temporary scanning receivers in a handoff event cellular radiotelephone system is disclosed. Voice transceiver identifications are stored link lists according to priority, sectorization, last use. When signal strength measurement required, those cell sectors having available identified table providing optimum selection utilized select which will make the measurement.
