摘要: Abstract The present investigation studies the regeneration of waste engine oil by active Ca-bentonite powder. porous adsorbents were prepared acidification in presence nitric and sulfuric acid solutions at different residence times. methylene blue adsorption test was applied to evaluate acidification. characteristics normal treated powders also characterized ICP, XRD, FTIR BET techniques. optimum condition determined which reached maximum value. In this condition, specific surface area clays activated acids be 109.0 89.0 m2 g−1, respectively. change found due formation new nano-pores range 10–12 nm, according N2 isotherms. feasibility for removal contaminants from has been studied next part. modified had higher capacity oil. It demonstrated that clay yields valuable information about minimizing powder content recovery semi-treated process.
