A 128×128 Single-Photon Imager with on-Chip Column-Level 10b Time-to-Digital Converter Array Capable of 97ps Resolution

摘要: We present an array of 128times128 highly miniaturized SPAD (single-photon avalanche diodes) pixels with a bank 32 time-to-digital converters (TDCs) on chip. A decoder selects 128-pixel row. Every group 4 in the row shares TDC based event-driven mechanism. As result, row-wise parallel acquisition is obtained low number TDCs. Because outstanding timing precision SPADs and optimized design, typical resolution 97 ps achieved within range 100 ns (10 b) at maximum rate 10 MS/s per TDC. The exhibits DNL 0.08LSB INL 1.89LSB.
