摘要: Many states are now in the process of creating or upgrading their statewide travel forecasting methods. To assist those states, a review existing practice was undertaken. This consisted interviews and documents from 45 articles literature. Passenger models, freight time-series models were reviewed. In addition, compared to many intercity that described academic Little consensus found as what should constitute model, varied greatly approaches. Those with complete tended follow an urban modeling framework used software originally designed for forecasting, spite inherent differences scales, planning needs, data availability. Recommendations made on how can improve methods tailor them better requirements.
