摘要: In Lesotho, where the HIV prevalence rate for women is 26.4%, there high risk mother-to-child transmission (MTCT) of HIV. Efforts to prevent MTCT can focus on reducing fertility level HIV-positive women. This paper examines desire children and unmet need contraception limit or space births among age 15-49 years, using data from 2004 Lesotho Demographic Health Survey. Multivariate analysis women, 83% whom have never learned their status, shows that in future does not differ by socioeconomic status. Unmet highest poorest households.
