摘要: : The hepatitis B virus (HBV) can be transmitted in the dialysis setting through blood transfusions and environmental surfaces. Transfusion related C (HCV) infection is very well known, but only recently transmission of this was postulated. In order to study prevalence, mechanisms transmission, ALT patterns HBV HCV infections hemodialysis CAPD patients before implementation vaccination screening bank, we conducted a from January 1987 1990. Sera 185 124 were stored period later analyzed for HBsAg, anti-HBc, anti-HBs, anti-HCV (second generation ELISA). prevalence any marker 55.7% (103/185) 31.5% (39/124) (hemodialysis vs. CAPD, p < 0.001). positive 35.1% (65/185) 33.9% (42/124) (not significant). There significant association between markers positivity positivity. multivariate analysis risk factors revealed an each with duration renal replacement therapy (RRT), number previous transfusions, past history treatment. Thus, besides transfusion-related may also occur both viruses. findings high viruses evidence are major importance planning future preventive measures.
