摘要: Abstract Observer error in chest radiography is of such magnitude as to create special problems diagnosis and treatment. A review recent studies on the subject reveals following: 1.1. In interpreting a set photofluorograms for presence or absence lesion competent experienced physician misses, single reading, many 32.2 per cent positive films provides false 1.7 negative films. 2.2. Classification pulmonary lesions basis roentgenographic appearance not very reliable. It possible determine reliably probable activity from roentgenogram. 3.3. judging pair serial roentgenograms evidence progression, regression stability disease, two physicians are likely disagree with each other nearly one-third cases, reader himself about one-fifth pairs. 4.4. The undesired effects may be reduced considerably by application dual reading. mass radiographic projects this procedure detects missed reader. 5.5. suggested that reading useful clinical radiology. main contribution results fact identifies two-thirds which can given confidence. remaining considered roentgenologically indeterminate until further obtained.
