摘要: In Sect. 13.1 the (implied) key-distance theories of Heinichen, Kellner, and Weber are contrasted with (incomplete) theory Riepel. For Riepel, parallel key, tonic which is chromatic relative to home more distant from key than a (for example, relative) diatonic. Section 13.2 examines prevalent belief that Weber’s has been empirically validated by Krumhansl her associates. Finally, 13.3 posits “neo-Riepelian” distance. Unlike other theories, neo-Riepelian distance between two keys does not necessarily exist; as result, except for diatonic relations, distances in general do conform what known algebra “metric space.”
