摘要: Tunicates are invertebrate members of the chordate phylum, and considered to be sister group vertebrates. composed ascidians, thaliaceans, appendicularians. With advent inexpensive high-throughput sequencing, number sequenced tunicate genomes is expected rise sharply within coming years. To facilitate comparative genomics tunicates, between tunicates vertebrates, standardized rules for nomenclature genetic elements need established. Here we propose a set rules, consensual community, predicted genes, pseudogenes, transcripts, operons, transcriptional cis-regulatory regions, transposable elements, transgenic constructs. In addition, document proposes guidelines naming mutant lines.
