摘要: Abstract The preference-supporting bias in information evaluation, known as distortion, is a ubiquitous phenomenon. present work demonstrates that priming relational mindset induces individuals to process independent units of interdependently and therefore contributes increasing distortion. In three studies, activated by asking participants generate solutions cross-domain analogies. All studies show the activation then carries over into second, unrelated choice task increases addition, shows generating analogies activates high level construal, which turn mediates effect thinking on Finally, also imposing cognitive load during reduces impact sum, this research same mechanism promotes creative (i.e., seeing relationships across concepts) may induce more biased processing prompting interdependently.
