摘要: In fresh specimens a narrow (3- to 4-mm) annular thickening, the pyloric ring, is felt in wall of gut at gastroduodenal junction. At laparotomy it may be difficult palpate (Edwards and Rowlands 1968), due effects muscle relaxants administered during anaesthesia. On radiographs taken motor quiescent phase interdigestive myoelectric complex, ring presents as deep, clearcut, indentation separating barium lumen stomach from that duodenum (Fig. 11.1).
