摘要: This article explores the complex dynamics involved in making African Diaspora histories and cultures visible at Historic Jamestowne, a setting traditionally viewed as white public heritage space. In response to 400th anniversary of forcible arrival Africans Virginia, archaeologists professionals Jamestown are engaging local American descendant community collective knowledge production centered around Angela, one first women that lived 1620s. dominant histories, alternative interpretations (colonial) past, relationships between sites communities.
