摘要: A model of competition between an annual plant species invading only by seed, and a perennial lateral growth, shows the conditions necessary for equilibrium coexistence two species. The can persist at even when always wins in particular site, so long as product its fecundity proportion empty sites exceeds unity. depends upon birth death rates ramets. In stochastic simulations, probability invasion into community perennials is lower than itself surviving perennial, though deterministic criteria persistence are identical; that is, will succeed establishing on size initial innoculum. Developments to include more realistic assumptions about population dynamics, extensions multi-species cases discussed. also has potential applications study modular invertebrates (e.g. intertidal rock surfaces).
