摘要: Shortly after DNA was discovered to be the carrier of hereditary information, a number peculiar observations were made. It found that some traits, like ability yeast cells use non-fermentable sources energy, inherited through cytoplasmic, and not nuclear mechanism[1]. This observation rather alarming at time, since only known present in nucleus. As result, researchers started doubt whether truly sole information. Could it original hypothesis about incorrect? Or did cytoplasm carry molecules yet discovered? Ultimately, this conflict resolved when clever mating experiments, biochemical tests precise electron microscopy culminated discovery new molecule, inside mitochondria[2-4].
