摘要: Abstract This work presents simulation results of the control and dynamic optimization a dividing-wall column (DWC) used for separation benzene-toluene-xylene (BTX) ternary mixture. Rigorous simulations were carried out in Aspen Plus Dynamics.Several conventional structures based on PID loops (DB/LSV, DV/LSB, LB/DSV, LV/DSB) as basis. These enhanced by adding an extra loop controlling heavy component composition top prefractionator, using liquid split additional manipulated variable, thus implicitly achieving minimization energy requirements. The show short settling times low overshooting especially DB/LSV LB/DSV structures.
