摘要: Aligned metal–oxide composite materials have been grown from the melt by directional solidification at eutectic composition of several binary systems. The resulting microstructures consist metallic fibres ∼1 µm in diameter imbedded an oxide matrix1,2. occurrence such fibrous structures, as opposed to lamellar corresponds compositions for which volume fraction minor component is <30% (ref. 3). work reported here presents a different route fabrication aligned composites, making production fine–scale possible. method consists chemical reduction oxide–oxide structures conditions temperature and partial pressure oxygen only one oxides transformed corresponding metal. We show how can be successfully applied preparation Ni–ZrO2 structures.
