摘要: Background. The preservative methylchloroisothiazolinone (MCI)/methylisothiazo- linone (MI) is an important allergen, and has thus been subject to regulation in some areas of exposure, mainly cosmetics. Objectives. To examine whether a decline sensitization prevalence intensity elicitation (by the patch test) can be observed, either overall, or certain subgroups defined by causative exposures. Methods. On basis long-term contact allergy surveillance data collected Information Network Departments Dermatology (www.ivkd.org), 1992–2010, course 171 883 consultations, time trend (different grades of) positive test reactions MCI/MI (0.01% aqua) was examined age-stratified analysis. Results. overall frequency 2.33% (95% confidence interval 2.26–2.4%). No significant distribution +, ++ + (p > 0.05) similarly what found for patients whom cosmetics were recorded as exposure = 0.55). In contrast, with occupational dermatitis who < 40 years age, increase prevalence, 0.87 percentage points per decade, identified 0.018). Conclusions. Both applications MCI/MI, cosmetic industrial, should target further preventive efforts.
