摘要: It is widely accepted that the central respiratory chemoreceptors are located near surface of ventrolateral medulla (VLM) in a position renders them readily influenced by CO2−H+ changes both arterial blood and cerebrospinal fluid (Millhorn Eldridge, 1986); latter being facilitated fenestrated medullary area question (Dermietzel, 1975). Despite decades research, neither have chemo- receptor structure pathways involved been identified nor were they attainable to record their afferent activity. Location based on indirect evidence showing electrocoagulation, cooling, or stimulation circumscribed zones VLM alter ventilatory response certain stimuli (Loeschcke, 1982).
