Bile leak after elective laparoscopic cholecystectomy: Role of MR imaging

摘要: Increasing hepatobiliary laparoscopic surgeries have lead to a rise in injury the biliary tree and other complications like bile leak. Ultrasonography (US) computed tomography (CT) cannot reliably distinguish from postoperative fluid collections. Magnetic resonance (MR) imaging with agents MR cholangiopancreatography provide anatomic functional information that allows for prompt diagnosis excludes any concomitant complications. We report case of post-cholecystectomy leak 42-year-old female who presented persistent dull abdominal pain after intervention; we emphasize role achieving correct diagnosis.
