摘要: Grey squirrel, an invasive alien species, is currently replacing the native Eurasian red squirrel in British Isles and north-west Italy. has recently been reported Parco Lombardo della Valle del Ticino (NW Italy) species likely to spread woodlands connecting Italy other European countries. We used GRASS GIS Spatially Explicit Population dynamics Models as a conservation tool predict of grey squirrels test different management options Regional Park surrounding areas 40 years time frame. two phases work: at first build habitat distribution maps be processed by model then map output. Scripting Bourne-shell environment allowed us integrate capabilities with population program, written C programming language, assured data stream from back. The integrated approach SEPM suggest public administration cost effective action plan stop invasion process.
