摘要: The availability of MSI, LSI and now VLSI, in conjunction with the development various new decoding processing algorithms, has dramatically altered feasibility applying cost-effective error-correction coding to communication systems, particularly telecommunications area. Several techniques available advances which, together VLSI implementation, they make possible are described. Reed-Solomon codes, either on their own, or a concatenated arrangement another block convolutional code, emerge as candidates for widely applicable `standard? EDC code.
