摘要: We have discovered that Simian virus 40 (SV40) infection of human mesothelial cells induces Notch-1. Upregulation Notch-1 is achieved at the transcriptional level and requires activity both large (90-100 kDa) small (20 SV40 tumor antigens. upregulation maintained in SV40-transformed cell lines tissue culture, overexpressed only SV40-positive mesotheliomas. Chemical inactivation causes growth arrest cells. Our findings indicate activation plays an important role SV40-mediated carcinogenesis. a pleiotropic gene influences differentiation, proliferation apoptosis. The effects are species type specific, that, different or within same species, signaling can cause opposite effects. In this chapter, we review some general aspects Notch signaling, how regulates cycle Recent data involving cancer will be discussed. Then, deal with current information regarding specific form lung (malignant mesothelioma) involvement pathogenesis cancer. enter into details transformation, interaction between primary when infected vitro.
