摘要: Objective: Cholestatic liver disease in infancy is caused by a wide range of conditions. This study reviews the pattern diagnosis infants with cholestasis presenting to tertiary referral paediatric hospital Sydney, Australia, during 12-year period (1985–96). Methodology: Infants aged less than 6 months were identified retrospectively from records and data retrieved medical records. Results: There 205 as having cholestatic disease. The aetiology was idiopathic 25%, metabolic/genetic 23%, due obstruction 20%, parenteral nutrition infection 9% bile duct hypoplasia 3%. Conclusions: highlights changing patterns at facility, demonstrating that up 50% cases are now genetic/metabolic diseases or nutrition, high proportion
