摘要: We present irradiation experiments carried out on RadFETs in the high-intensity T2 neutron beam at CRC-UCL Belgium. The aim of test was to characterize response view their use as an integrated part a radiation-monitoring sensor for CERN Large Hadron Collider (LHC) experiments. Two types were investigated up total fluence 3/spl times/10/sup 14/ cm/sup -2/ corresponding deposited dose 744 Gy silicon. responses bare devices neutrons are compared commonly used reference measurements with gamma rays. It is found that ray calibration cannot directly be adopted convert RadFET signals into dose. In second experiment, influence plastic packaging, simulated by polyethylene slabs different thicknesses, tested and GEANT4 Monte Carlo simulations. An increase sensitivity factor 7 due packaging found. these findings conception discussed.
