摘要: Abstract Objectives. The purpose of this study was to evaluate observers' ability detect simulated root resorption cavities in conventional radiographs and digital from a charge-coupled device system storage phosphor determine whether the detectability influenced by size exposure. Study design. In teeth dry mandibular jaw specimens, resorptive defects 1.2 mm diameter at two different depths (0.6 0.9 mm) were prepared buccal surface. Each tooth radiographed number exposure settings. Observers asked rate their confidence that or not present using five-graded scale. Receiver operating characteristic analysis used results. Results conclusion. Given optimal exposures, all systems reached what might be considered clinically acceptable A z values (>0.75). value considerably lower exposures than those required for both film systems. There tendency better deeper lesions identify them exposures.
