摘要: Isolated plant populations face a series of demographic and genetic challenges. They potentially may suffer from loss allelic genotypic diversity or inbreeding depression. The stability associated with migration between components metapopulation is lost as fragmentation increasingly isolates populations. Such isolated are then subject to stocasticity more frequent population bottlenecks. Some species clearly endure this challenge better than others. In studies native whose have long endured isolation, numbers very often appear stable contain ample variation. Of course, such observations biased, since those which did not accommodate isolation presumed extinct thus studied. When one considers recently undergone habitat the ability change present in many species. show dramatic decline well erosion variability. these role somatic processes generation variation assume an increased importance. Since only few documented genomic changes plants, importance speculation.
