Symmetrical drug-related intertriginous and flexural exanthema (SDRIFE) induced by telmisartan-hydrochlorothiazide

摘要: Symmetrical drug-related intertriginous and flexural exanthema (SDRIFE) is a eruption that characteristically involves the or folds gluteal areas. We report case of 48-year-old woman with presence sharply demarcated erythema inferior cervical folds, axillae, area started 4 days after introduction telmisartan-hydrochlorothiazide administration to treat hypertension. Skin biopsy revealed dense perivascular periadnexal lymphohistiocytic infiltrate in superficial dermis, some eosinophils mast cells. A cutaneous drug adverse reaction was suspected, suspended, medium-potency topical corticosteroids were prescribed, subsequent significant improvement lesions. Eight months later, epicutaneous patch tests performed previously lesional nonlesional skin. To best our knowledge, this first SDRIFE related illustrates an uncommon presentation skin-related antihypertensive medication role dermatologist diagnosis management, particular follow-up patient.
