摘要: Whether gastrointestinal motor and sensory function is primary cause or secondary effect of abnormal body weight uncertain. Moreover, studies relating continuous postprandial sensations satiation to measurable pathology are scarce. This work assessed concurrent across a wide range after change. Patients with anorexia nervosa (AN) obesity (OB) were investigated in reference normal controls (HC). AN additionally longitudinally. Gastric emptying, antral contractions oro-cecal transit ingestion solid meal by MRI 13C-lactose-ureide breath test. The dependency self-reported on the varying degree stomach filling during gastric emptying was compared between groups. 24 (BMI 14.4 (11.9–16.0) kg/m2), 16 OB (34.9 (29.6–41.5) kg/m2) 20 HC (21.9 (18.9–24.9) studied. half-emptying time (t50) slower than (p = 0.016) (p = 0.007), negative association t50 BMI observed 12 25 kg/m2 (p = 0.007). Antral not different. For any given content volume, fullness greater (p < 0.001). After rehabilitation, tended become shorter (p = 0.09) less marked (p < 0.01). A relationship as well feelings present. have heightened visceral perception OB. Longitudinal follow-up rehabilitation suggests these abnormalities feature, but other factors that determine weight.
