摘要: Blood parameters are useful to measure physiological disturbances in chelonians. Thus they can provide important information for the diagnosis and prognosis of diseases. The aim this paper was determine reference range plasma glucose, total protein, triglycerides, cholesterol urea levels, as well hematocrit, hemoglobin, red blood cell, thrombocyte white cell counts healthy Podocnemis expansa (Schweigger, 1812), bred a turtle farm Amazonas State, Brazil. Plasma mean corpuscular volume (MCV), lymphocytes heterophils were with smallest variations. Significant (p<0.001) correlations between cells count hematocrit hemoglobin concentration found. Turtle P. had lymphocytes, azurophils, heterophils, eosinophils basophils morphologic features similar ones others turtles species. No investigated parameter influenced by sex. In further studies, established ranges might be health assessment
