摘要: We apply linear hydrodynamic stability analysis to determine the critical Taylor number for transition from stable cylindrical Couette flow vortical when a dilute concentration of discontinuous phase rigid spherical particles is present in fluid. The conservation equations system are based on traditional twofluid formulation. eigenvalue problem solved numerically find given particle and geometric conditions. at which vortices first appear decreases as increases. More dense have much greater effect than less due their inertia. Using an effective suspension density viscosity largely accounts this effect.
