摘要: Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the breast brings advantages high resolution cross-sectional to cancer diagnosis, treatment and research: improved detection, staging, selection therapy, evaluation therapeutic response in vivo, detection recurrence, even development new therapies. Until now research has been impeded by limited means evaluating vivo: primarily clinical palpation mammography tumor. A review initial studies shows that with use paramagnetic contrast agents, MRI a sensitivity 96 % for detecting cancers. detects multicentric disease 98 %, superior any other modality. The ability detect recurrent local conservatively treated is nearly 100 %. capable monitoring tumor chemotherapy actually guiding interventions such as interstitial laser photocoagulation.
