摘要: Febrile neutropenic children with cancer were eligible for outpatient management intravenous ceftriaxone therapy if they displayed selected low-risk criteria. Nineteen enrolled. All patients had sterile blood cultures, and only one of them was hospitalized because persistent fever. This pilot study suggests that febrile neutropenia might be successfully managed without hospitalization.
