摘要: In this article, single crystals of a new nonhygroscopic scintillating material tetrafluoroaluminate (TlAlF4) were grown using the Bridgman–Stockbarger technique. The diffraction pattern obtained from powder X-ray was found to be in good agreement with reference data. X-ray-induced luminescence measurements crystal sample exhibit very strong intrinsic emission band wavelength range 300 450 nm, peak maximum at 390 nm. Scintillation properties, such as pulse height spectra and decay time crystals, investigated $\gamma $ -rays 137Cs radiation source. scintillation light yield ~11 800 ph/MeV. At room temperature, measured profile fitted three exponential functions; result showed fast component 194 ns (13.1%), medium 992 (84.6%), slow 3.5 $\mu \text{s}$ (2.3%). Trap centers studied results thermally stimulated luminescence. temperature dependence also studied. that TlAlF4 is promising scintillator crystal, thus, potential candidate for -ray detection.
