摘要: An extensive series of observations the radio galaxy Hydra A using VLA is reported. The emission consists two components: (1) a pair well-collimated, curved jets with S-symmetry, each which makes turn through about 40 deg between core and lobe, (2) diffuse lobes, also rotation-symmetric, although straighter, extend north out to 5 arcmin (420 kpc) south 3 (250 kpc). Rotation measures (RMs) ranging from -1000 +3300 rad/sq m are found in northern lobe gradients RM up 1000 m/arcsec. In southern probably excess + or - 3750 m, maximum value that can be unambiguously determined here. 48 refs.
