摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter discusses the control of bacteria in nondomestic water supplies. Pure has considerable potential as a bacterial medium. Bacteria, particularly Pseudomonas and related genera, are highly adaptable, require little way nutrients, grow very well at temperatures near 0°C. Preventative consists keeping organic content to minimum levels. includes measures prevent decomposition matter impoundments or surface subsurface disposal areas, which can deplete oxygen increase CO 2 (H 3 ) percolating into strata. leads conditions that result growth Crenothrix, Gallionella, sulfate-reducing bacteria, other nuisance organisms. source contamination bacteriological medium, areas where contaminants multiply, biological factors affecting control, physical methods chemical economics control.
