摘要: To inform clinical guidelines and patient care we need high quality evidence on the relative benefits harms of intervention. Patient reported outcome (PRO) data from trials can “empower patients to make decisions based their values” “level playing field between physician patient”. While clinicians have a good understanding concept health-related life other PROs, suggests that many do not feel comfortable in using discussions with practice. This may part reflect concerns over integrity difficulties interpreting results arising poor reporting. The new CONSORT PRO extension aims improve reporting PROs facilitate use practice health policy. is an important first step process, broader engagement guidance optimal maximize setting. Endorsement by journal editors, authors peer reviewers are crucial steps. Improved design, implementation transparent necessary provide synthesis guidelines.
