摘要: It should be obvious from perusal of the preceding chapters that a number ganglionic and central nervous system (CNS) phenomena are similar even identical. is well known shortly after chemical, cholinergic transmission was demonstrated at periphery, i.e., parasympathetic, motor, synapses (cf. Chapter 1), Dale Dale, 1938) others proposed obtains in CNS, proposal supported by much indirect evidence time finally 1954 for synapse between motor nerve collateral Renshaw cell Eccles et al. (1954). Since 1954, presence other sites has been amply (see Krnjevic, 1974; Karczmar, 1976; McGeer al., 1978, 1984). While ubiquitous, however, anatomical identification localization some pathways not yet certain (McGeer 1984; Kimura 1981; 1986). Thus, ganglion with its proven axosomatic Chapters 1, 2, 3) both homologous analogous respect to identified those will future.
