摘要: Crop sustainability can be threatened by new environmental challenges regarding predicted climate changes and global warming. Therefore, the study of real biological impacts future conditions (e.g., increased air [CO2], supra-optimal temperature water scarcity) on crop plants, as well re-evaluation management procedures strategies, must undertaken in order to improve adaptation promote mitigation negative impacts, thus affording resilience. Coffee is a tropical that grown more than 80 countries, making it one world's most traded agricultural products, while involving millions people worldwide whole chain value. It has been argued this will highly affected changes, resulting decreases both suitable areas for cultivation productivity, impaired beverage quality near future. Here, we report recent findings coffee species exposure combined temperatures enhanced drought stress crop. Ultimately, discuss key strategies performance context scenarios. The clearly show high [CO2] positive impact increasing their tolerance temperatures. This related better plant vigor, triggering protective mechanisms, higher functional status photosynthetic machinery. Even so, expected suffer from scarcity changing world. discussion focused some important shade systems, soil covering terracing), which implemented sustain production continually environment.
