摘要: The formation of allopolyploid cotton precipitated a rapid diversification and colonization dry coastal American tropical subtropical regions. Previous phylogenetic analyses, combined with molecular divergence have offered temporal framework for this radiation, but provide only weak support some the resolved branches. Moreover, these earlier analyses did not include recently recognized sixth polyploid species, G. ekmanianum Wittmack. Here we use targeted sequence capture multiple loci in conjunction both concatenated Bayesian concordance to reevaluate phylogeny species. Although resolution afforded by individual genes is often low, sufficient signal was attained through robust Gossypium clade, which reported here.
