摘要: Modern American Poetry and the Protestant Establishment argues that secularization in modern poetry must be understood with reference to establishment. Drawing on interdisciplinary work revising thesis, addressed poetics, Americanist, modernist scholars, dissertation demonstrates tipping point of was not reached at dawn modernism, as most critics have assumed, but rather decades following World War II.
