摘要: As we draw towards the end of massive effort that has been International Polar Year (IPY), it is opportune to consider what impact had on Antarctic biological research and its community. Have seen or are going see major advances in any particular areas science? Has hoped-for international integration communities advanced, including those ‘non-traditional’ ‘less developed’ polar nations? ‘global public’ become more engaged with regions?
