摘要: Abstract Lightweight aggregates (LWAs) were successfully produced both in a pilot-scale rotary kiln and laboratory chamber furnace. The mechanical properties of LWA investigated detail applying the European standard crushing resistance test (CR-test) as well single pellet compression (spc-test). spc-test showed that pellets with porosities σ crit = F / d 2 where is porosity independent strength, measured load at failure solid diameter (assuming zero porosity). It was reasoned catastrophic due to tensile stresses centre strength observed increase exponentially decreasing sample size. relationship between CR- has been established facilitating “translation” data two different methods.
