摘要: Abstract Self-assembling properties of an amphiphilic star block copolymer, 4-arm (PMMA-b-PAA)4 with poly(methyl methacrylate) core and poly(acrylic acid) shell, have been investigated in aqueous solutions. The stars observed to aggregate a complex manner solutions, depending on the presence or absence salt. Screening electrostatic repulsion between polyelectrolyte blocks by adding salt triggers formation worm-like micelles. micelles saline solutions was revealed Kratky analysis light scattering data. coexistence different micellar morphologies visualized direct imaging cryoTEM. Due balance hydrophobic interactions semidilute show interesting rheological properties. Shear thinning behavior salt-free their time-dependent gelation observed, thus indicating strong tendency polymers aggregate.
