摘要: Using pooled cross-sectional data from the 1992 to 2005 March Current Population Survey (CPS), this study examines relationship between minimum wage increases and economic well-being of single mothers. Estimation results show that were ineffective at reducing poverty among Most working mothers not affected by hikes because they already earned wages above state federal wages. And less-educated who did see a rise in net income negative employment hours effects. For low-skilled population, 10 percent increase was associated with an 8.8 reduction 11.8 annual worked. © 2008 Association for Public Policy Analysis Management
