摘要: The importance of biosecurity as a strategy to prevent and control infectious diseases has increased substantially over the last few decades. Several studies have reported low implementation level measures (BSM), particularly in cattle farms. In addition, recent study demonstrated that farmers are well aware recommended BSM recognize them more effective (in terms time costs) than treatment for disease. Therefore, other factors must be considered when it comes understanding decision-making process followed by farmer regarding adoption BSM. This analysed possible influence five mental constructs described health belief model (HBM) on assessed association these with different demographic socio-psychological factors. Through an online survey, 988 questionnaires were completed originating from Belgium, France, Germany, Spain Netherlands. revealed actual seems significantly influenced farmers' perception measures' benefits responsibility. Both personality risk aversion knowledge. It was also found organic had lower their responsibility towards animal, public environmental compared types farmer. Organic this seemed less likely implement measures. To increase farmers, is therefore important emphasise evidence-based investigate further how strengthen sense health.
