摘要: Abstract The effects of adding N 2 to the outer gas flow an Ar plasma in inductively coupled mass spectrometry (ICP-MS) are illustrated. With 5% added and provided central (nebulizer) is increased, modest signal enhancements (up a factor 4) observed. degree enhancement depends on extent which element forms strong metal oxide bond also, some extent, ionization potential. An important feature mixed plasmas for ICP-MS that signals analyte species (MO + ) certain background (ArO , ArOH ClO ArCl significantly reduced (an order magnitude) by addition flow. In these observations, results also presented O air (outer gas) (central plasmas.
