摘要: The aim of this research was to empirically link the belief in a just world variety ideas about social inequalities. Drawing from cognitive dissonance theory, it argued that adherents Just World Belief redefine and reinterpret perceived inequalities order reduce or eliminate contradiction between two cognitions. Using data probability sample adults, six hypotheses were formally stated tested. All supported. greater acceptance Belief, likelihood perceiving as fair, inevitable, immutable. Also, positively related odds derogating poor, praising wealthy, favoring individualistic explanations over structural ones. Lastly, inversely extensive.
