Gustatory dysfunction in COVID-19 patients: a rapid systematic review on 27,687 cases.

摘要: Objective: This is a rapid systematic review concerning taste alterations in 27,687 individuals infected with SARS-CoV-2, published the worldwide literature. Material and methods: Of 485 articles recovered, 67 eligible studies (27,687 confirmed COVID-19 cases) were included this analysis. We analysed prevalence of patients considering country origin studies. Results: The results show strong important differences overall reported among different countries (from 11% Korea to 88.8% Belgium). Conclusions: These data highlight that there geographical distribution patients. Gustatory dysfunction seems be an understudied symptom may explain inconsistencies diagnostic criteria for case definition. Furthermore, underestimation can lead increased risk contagion whole population working classes most at risk, including dental one.
