Effects of crude extracts of Mucuna pruriens (Fabaceae) and Carica papaya (Caricaceae) against the protozoan fish parasite Ichthyophthirius multifiliis.

摘要: The ciliate Ichthyophthirius multifiliis is among the most pathogenic parasites of fish maintained in captivity. In present study, effects crude methanolic extract leaves Mucuna pruriens and petroleum-ether seeds Carica papaya against I. were investigated under vivo vitro conditions. Goldfish (Carassius auratus auratus) infected with immersed for 72 h baths M. extract, 96 C. extract.
