摘要: Abstract The electrochemical treatment of a synthetic tannery wastewater prepared with 30 compounds used in animal skin processing was studied. Electrolyses were performed one-compartment flow cell at current density 20 mA cm−2, using dimensionally stable anode (DSA®) composition Ti/Ir0.10Sn0.90O2 as the working electrode. Effects chloride concentration and presence sulfate evaluated. Variation phenolic function electrolysis time revealed first-order exponential decay; faster phenol removals obtained increasing wastewater. Lower sulfate. Higher concentrations led to decrease total organic carbon (TOC), chemical oxygen demand (COD), absorbance values 228 nm. Faster color removal, higher efficiency lower energy consumption also obtained. This able reduce toxicity for Daphnia similis.
